About Lydia
Professional experience, taught with warmth
Lydia Andrades Benitez-Dart is a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher whose training and performance career has taken her through leading institutions and companies in Britain, Spain and Bulgaria.
She attended the English National Ballet and Central School of Ballet in London, before completing a BA Honours degree in Dance and Performance at the University of Kent. Lydia continued her development in Spain through the Madrid Dance Center junior company, before performing professionally as a ballet dancer with State Opera Ruse, Bulgaria’s national opera.
Her teaching experience includes Madrid Dance Center, Wanna Dance School, Alison Alford Theatre, AABC and Music Box. She has also choreographed for AABC in Puerto Real.
Lydia teaches in both English and Spanish. Her approach combines disciplined technical training with individual encouragement, helping dancers develop confidence, musicality and a stronger understanding of movement.
